Competitions, Rehearsals
Hello! The last several weeks have been incredibly busy. Thanks for keeping up with everything.
- Congratulations to Stephen Torbert for being recognized in two ITA Competitions
- Congratulations to Michael Walta for performing a great senior recital
- Congratulations to all our MTNA finalists
The OSU Trombone Quartet has been really busy with performances for the MTNA South Central Division Competition, Michael Walta’s recital, the OSU Library Noon Concert Series and an OSU Friends of Music Musicale.
Over the next few weeks, the Trombone Ensemble will meet according to this schedule:
- Tuesday, February 13 @ 6:00
- Tuesday, February 20 @ 6:00
- Tuesday, February 27 @ 6:00
- Wednesday, March 7 @ 8:00
This is due to my travel and OSU basketball. Please keep track of this.
I will be gone February 14, 15 and 16 for TMEA. I will make up those lessons the following week.
We have two dates for Spring Recital Hour:
- April 3 for Ted and Chad.
- April 10 for Andrea, Isaac, Michael, Stephen, James, Noel and Brandon.

Welcome Back!
I am thrilled that our site is up. We owe Josh Brown our most sincere appreciation. He has created a truly beautiful site for us, and we are extremely lucky to have him as our web designer.
This has already been a wonderful year, and I am really looking forward to the coming semester. Things are going to be incredibly busy, so be prepared! This site will be an incredible asset for communicating with all of you. Please check it daily for the latest news and information.
Trombone ensemble will meet Wednesday nights at 8:00. Please leave Tuesday at 6:00 open also as an additional/alternate meeting time. Our rehearsal on January 17 will actually be a masterclass with guest artist Scott Whitfield. We will begin regular rehearsals the following week.
Daily Routine will be every morning at 7:30. Everyone is welcome.
